The annual Nada Habba Dasara festival will make Mysuru the center of attention, drawing in visitors from around the world. Festivities commenced with a traditional puja at Chamundeshwari Temple on Chamundi Hills, where writer Nadoja Hampa Nagarajaiah offered floral tributes to Goddess Chamundeshwari. This nine-day festival will conclude with the grand Vijayadashami procession, starting from Mysore Palace on October 12. Nadoja Hampa Nagarajaiah, also known as Hampanna, reflected on the joy of playing with dolls during childhood after inaugurating the festival. He emphasized that Dasara symbolizes Karnataka's rich cultural diversity and is widely celebrated throughout the state. Scion of the Mysuru royal family and Member of Parliament Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar conducted the annual private darbar at Mysore Palace over the Navratri period. A.R. Rahman and Ilaiyaraaja are set to perform at Mysuru Dasara for the first time, alongside various cultural events such as Yuva Dasara, a food fair, flower exhibition, book fair, and a film festival dedicated to the late actor-filmmaker Dwarakish.
